Our LCD televisions are capable of producing over 16.6 million separate shades of color. That’s a mighty big crayon box. It was a little tricky to fit all those colors in an unthinkably thin package. But that’s what it took to make Color Beyond Reality, so that’s what we did.
Why, you ask? Because we think television can take people places. And to effectively reach the destination, the scene must be drawn to perfection. So to us, accurate color reproduction is about more than just the science of television. It’s about the power of pictures. It’s about being there. It’s about creating new worlds in a 16 x 9 ratio.
So we developed video processing technologies like ARC-2 and EN-V. We made screen sizes large and small. We developed Intuilight™ dynamic light sensors. We did, well, all sorts of things to enhance your viewing experience. Then we did the most extraordinary thing of all: we made it affordable and we made it easy to use.
